Some weeks ago, I decided that I was going to start this blog back up in 2015. In fact, part of my New Year's resolution is to do so.
My New Year's resolution this year is much different than usual. Usually I resolve to work more on my own writing, to finish website edits, to read a specific list of books or a certain number of classics. After a difficult year, though, I'm pretty much tired of how complicated my life has become. So this year, my New Year's resolution is to make my life simpler.
This resolution has a couple of different parts. I'm tired of splitting my livelihood in so many different directions, so one part is to stop taking on new families and start devoting more of my time to building my writing business, both freelance and my own work. Eventually I would like to be able to support myself largely on my blogs and my books, although that may be a ways down the road -- and I need to get writing if that's going to happen.
The other part is that I intend to get this blog going again, of course. I have too much stuff, and I need to purge. And anyway, it makes better sense, for a blog that is supposed to chronicle such efforts over a year's time, to start at the beginning of the year.
So, starting New Year's Day, I will be blogging daily (or thereabouts) again with the stuff I'm purging.
See you in 2015!
